The 2011-12 season kicks off Friday with the first women's soccer games of the year and the first BigWest.TV broadcasts of the year.
Women's Soccer
UC Irvine, nationally ranked in preseason polls by the NSCAA (No. 17) and Soccer America (No. 20), begins the 2011 season at the Texas A&M Invitational where the host and No. 11 Aggies await as part of a slate of 17 games during women soccer's opening weekend.
Other ranked opponents include Cal State Northridge opening the season hosting No. 16 UCLA and Long Beach State at No. 25 USC Friday, while Pacific travels to No. 2 Stanford on Sunday.
Cal State Fullerton will host Utah and Long Island in the first two BigWest.TV events of the year. Both games will be FREE OF CHARGE as a special for fans.
For the seventh year, select games will be broadcast by the institutions on BigWest.TV, the conference's video streaming initiative in partnership with CBS College Sports.
