As part of ampm Big West Basketball Tournament week cheerleaders from across the Conference provided the children receiving care at Children’s Hospital of Orange County (C.H.O.C.) with over 150 gifts to make for a memorable Friday morning. Cal State Fullerton cheer and dance squad members, on behalf of the other eight Big West schools, distributed pom-poms, hand made picture frames with inspirational messages, stuffed animals and foam fingers provided by all nine conference schools to the kids. Cheer squad members posed for pictures, colored, played air hockey and other games during their two hour visit. In addition, Tuffy the Titan, Cal State Fullerton’s mascot, made an appearance and brought the excitement of the tournament to the kids not able to attend.
This is the first year the Big West has teamed with Honda Center and C.H.O.C. in an effort to brighten the day for the youngsters. This community event was among several Fan Fest activities taking place throughout ampm Big West Basketball Tournament week in the Anaheim/Orange County area.
