The Big West will face four Top-25 programs this week as the first month of play comes to a close. Highlighting the schedule is a rare match-up with the top team in the nation as Cal Poly faces No. 1 North Carolina on Friday. Making the occassion more special will be the fact that the Mustangs and Tar Heels will meet on Big West soil, as Alex G. Spanos Stadium will be the battleground for the two teams.
Showdown Sunday rears its head with four matches against Top 25 opponents. Pacific will face the No. 2 team in the land, Stanford in a battle on the Cardinal's home turf. UC Santa Barbara will travel to No. 13 UCLA while Long Beach State is also in Northern California to visit No. 19 Cal. In the week's lone home match, UC Irvine will host No. 17 San Diego at 7:00 p.m. PT.

Women's Volleyball
Tough matches and top-ranked teams are on the docket for the third weekend of play. No. 23 Long Beach State will host the LBSU Mizuno Invitational this weekend with No. 25 San Diego and Virginia visiting the Walter Pyramid. The 49ers have started off 5-1 while dealing with injuries, and their only loss has been at No. 2 Texas. All Long Beach State matches will be broadcast on BigWest.TV, and all will be FREE OF CHARGE this week.
Other featured match-ups this week include UC Irvine at No. 6 Hawai'i, UC Davis at No. 10 Cal, Pacific vs. No. 24 Arizona.
