Long Beach State sophomore forward Nadia Link (Rowland Heights, Calif./Walnut HS) earned national recognition for her performances in three 49er wins as she was selected the CollegeSoccer360.com Primetime Player of the Week.
She also was named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Women's College Team of the Week.
Link was stellar for the 49ers with four goals in the wins, including two against nationally ranked opponents. She started the week with the game-winner in the 89th minute of a 1-0 victory at Fresno State. Link provided the first goal in an eventual 2-1 win against No. 21 Washington State. Link capped off the week with both 49er goals in a 2-1 triumph over No. 16 Virginia Tech.
The wins improved Long Beach State's record to 3-1-0 and vaulted the program into the Soccer America Top 25, entering at No. 24 this week. The 49ers are also ranked fourth in the NSCAA West Region poll.
