No. 5 Portland Slips Past Northridge at Sunday Night Lights

The Cal State Northridge women's soccer team (0-2) nearly overcame a 2-0 halftime deficit, but ultimately fell 2-1 to No. 5 Portland Sunday night at Matador Soccer Field. Senior Sonia Espitia tallied the first Matador goal of the season and third of her career in the second half and sophomore Cynthia Jacobo finished with five saves and also stopped a penalty kick in the second half.
