UC Davis defeated UC Santa Barbara, 4-3, in the second game of a softball doubleheader Friday to clinch at least a share of the Big West Conference title as well as its first automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Softball Tournament. The first-place Aggies closed the day still leading Cal State Northridge by one game with one to play.

49ers Sweep Past Highlanders In Big West Doubleheader

The Long Beach State softball team swept UC Riverside in a Big West Conference doubleheader Friday afternoon at the 49er Softball Complex. The Beach won by way of a 2-0 shutout in the opener, before defeating the Highlanders, 4-1, in the nightcap.

Matadors Rally to Split Doubleheader with Titans

The Cal State Northridge softball team (30-22, 14-6 Big West) rallied to split its doubleheader with Cal State Fullerton Friday afternoon at Matador Diamond. Northridge lost 2-1 in game one before taking an 8-5 victory over the Titans to record 30 wins for the first time since the 2004 season.

Mustangs Split Twinbill with Pacific

The Cal Poly softball team split a double header today, winning the opener 12-3, but falling in the second game 8-2. With the split the Mustangs retain the third spot in the Big West Conference with an 11-9 record and are 22-24 overall. Pacific, in fourth place, is 10-10 in conference games and 24-29 overall.
