The Big West will be respresented by one team and two at-large individuals during the NCAA Men's Golf Regional Championships as UC Irvine was selected at the league's automatic representative, while Cal State Northridge's Nick Delio and UC Davis' Austin Graham were chosen as individuals.
Six 54-hole regional tournaments will be conducted May 20-22. Thirteen teams and ten individuals not on those teams will compete at each of three regionals while the other three regionals will have 14 teams and five individuals not on those teams. The low five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each regional will advance to the finals.
The Anteaters were given the #10 seed among 13 clubs at the regional hosted by San Diego State at the Carlton Oaks Golf Club in San Diego, Calif. This marks UCI's ninth trip to the NCAA regionals in the past 10 years. The Anteaters have advanced to the NCAA Finals three times (1992, 2001 and 2008).
CSUN's Delio was also chosen to participate in the regional in San Diego, while Graham will be headed to Bremerton, Wash., for the regional at Gold Mountain Golf Club hosted by Washington.
