The College Baseball Foundation released its updated watch lists for the Brooks Wallace Award and Pitcher of the Year, with Cal State Fullerton's Christian Colon and Noe Ramirez and UC Irvine's Daniel Bibona among the representatives.

Colon is included among 25 players for the Brooks Wallace Award, which recognizes the nation's top shortstop.  After being selected to the initial 54-man list in March, Colon recorded a .335 average, 12 home runs and 36 RBI entering this weekend's play to remain among the prestigious candidates.  The junior also recently was selected to the updated watch list for the Golden Spikes Award, honoring the nation's top amateur baseball player.

Bibona and Ramirez are tabbed among a list of 25 for the Pitcher of the Year award.

Bibona, a senior left-hander, leads the Big West with nine wins, a 2.10 ERA and 100 strikeouts.  He won his sixth consecutive start in UCI's 3-1 victory at Cal Poly Friday, becoming the school's career strikeouts leader in the process.  He fanned six to reach 330 career strikeouts and surpass former record holder Scott Gorgen's 327.  Bibona is among the nation's leaders in strikeouts, wins and ERA.

Ramirez is having a solid season in his second campaign with the Titans.  He improved to 6-1 after working six innings, giving up seven hits and three runs in Friday's 6-4 win against UC Riverside.  It was his first action in three weeks after suffering a fracture to his left wrist (non-throwing arm) in a freak accident back on Apr. 14.  He has struck out 67 in 64.1 innings while sporting a 3.36 ERA.

Both awards will be presented on July 2 in Lubbock, Texas, as part of the College Baseball Awards Show.
