Following second round action Friday, UC Davis and UC Irvine are both in a tie for 16th at the NCAA Women's Golf West Regional. The tournament is being held at Stanford Golf Course on the campus of Stanford University.
The Aggies shot +23 on the day to up their two-round score to +47. Alice Kim and Chelsea Stelzmiller both shot +4 on the day to lead the club. Stelzmiller remained the top scorer for UCD during the tournament with a +7, putting her in a tie for 21st and eight shots behind the leader, Madeleine Ziegert of San Jose State.
UCI ended up at +47 after shooting +29 on the day. Lalita Patipaksiri was the low scorer for the Anteaters on the day with a six-over 77, while Henna Cho owns a +7 after two rounds for the low score on the club.
The third and final day of the West Regional is tomorrow with both teams' initial tee times starting at 12:30 pm. The top eight teams and two indivuals in the field will advance to the NCAA Championships.
