Big West Conference Commissioner Dennis Farrell today announced the winter sportsmanship team award winners for the sports of men’s and women’s basketball, and men’s and women’s swimming and diving.
   
The Sportsmanship Award is voted upon by the respective student-athletes in each of the Big West’s 18 championship sports.  UC Davis claimed the award in both men’s and women’s basketball.  Cal State Northridge collected the honor in both men’s and women’s swimming and diving.
   
“Sportsmanship is taken very seriously by the Big West Conference, and the UC Davis basketball and Cal State Northridge swimming teams should be proud to receive this award,” said Big West Commissioner Dennis Farrell.  “Acknowledgement from your peers for exceptional conduct in competition is something everyone should strive for.”
