The Cal State Northridge softball team (26-20, 10-4) defeated Cal Poly twice Saturday at Bob Janssen Field. The Matadors posted a 5-0 victory in game one, then rallied for a 5-3 decision in game two. The two wins stretched CSUN's winning streak to nine games and moved them into first place in the Big West Conference.

Aggies Tied For First With Doubleheader Sweep

UC Davis swept a key Big West Conference softball doubleheader with UC Riverside Saturday afternoon at La Rue Field. The Aggies edged the Highlanders, 5-4, in the first game before posting a 4-1 victory in game two. The wins improved UC Davis to 21-25 overall and 10-4 in the Big West. Gauchos Sweep Long Beach in Doubleheader

UC Santa Barbara (12-33, 3-11) ensured its first Big West series win of the season with a pair of victories over Long Beach State (21-24, 5-9) on Saturday at Campus Diamond.
