The UC Riverside softball team split of a pair of games on Sunday afternoon to conclude the UC Davis Aggie Stampede. The Highlanders (15-18) lost to Saint Mary's 5-1 but rebounded for a 6-2 victory over Sacramento State.

Closing out play at the Stanford Invitational, the Pacific softball team suffered a tough, 6-0, loss to No. 9 Stanford on Sunday, March 28. The loss dropped the Tigers to 11-17 overall and 1-3 in the tournament while the Cardinal improved to 25-4 on the year.

Continuing play at the Stanford Invitational, the Pacific softball team cost itself a chance for a second win at the tournament as they walked in a run in the seventh to fall 1-0 to Santa Clara on Sunday, March 28. The loss dropped the Tigers to 11-16 on the year and 1-2 at the tournament while the Broncos improved to 8-14 overall and 3-1 at the tournament.

First-Inning Woes Contribute to Cal Poly's 13-5 Demise
Junior designated player Anna Cahn and freshman righthander Rebecca Patton each belted home runs and the Cal Poly softball team matched a season high with 11 hits, but a nine-run first inning by No. 8 Arizona State proved too difficult to overcome on Sunday afternoon at Farrington Stadium as the Sun Devils completed a four-game sweep of the Mustangs with a 13-5, five-inning victory.

UC Davis Ends Stampede Against No. 14 Cal
The UC Davis softball team closed out its Aggie Stampede with a 4-0 loss to No. 14 California Sunday afternoon at La Rue Field. It was the 10th and final game of the three-day tournament. Alex Holmes broke up the Golden Bears' no-hit bid in the seventh inning as UC Davis finished the tournament with a 2-1 record. Sunday's crowd of 433 set a season-high for attendance at La Rue Field.
