Cal Poly Drops Doubleheader at No. 8 Arizona State
Freshman shortstop Trista Thomas became the second Cal Poly softball player in as many evenings to belt her first collegiate home run, but an eighth-inning single up the middle by Arizona State left fielder Taylor Haro helped provide the eighth-ranked Sun Devils both a 3-2 nightcap victory and a sweep of Saturday’s doubleheader at Farrington Stadium. Arizona State won the opening game, 5-1.

Waldusky's Three-Hitter Leads Aggies Past Gaels
Dana Waldusky fired a complete-game three-hitter as UC Davis defeated Saint Mary's, 1-0, in eight innings Saturday in a non-conference softball game at La Rue Field. The contest part of the second day at the Aggie Stampede, and UC Davis improved to 2-0 in the three-day tournament. Waldusky struck out eight, and Kylie Fan delivered the game-winning hit in the bottom of the eighth.

Softball Drops Pair on Day Two of Stanford Invitational
UC Santa Barbara (9-20) was unable to overcome Santa Clara (6-13) and No. 9 Stanford (22-4) during its final two games of the Stanford Invitational on Saturday at Smith Family Field. The Gauchos fell 6-2 to the Broncos before being shutout by the host Cardinal, 7-0, in their tournament closer.
