Tigers' Outdueled In Season Opener By No. 24 Fresno State
Opening their 2010 season on the road, the Pacific softball team suffered a tough 1-0 loss at the hands of the No. 24 ranked Fresno State Bulldogs and their ace Morgan Melloh. Melloh picked up the win by keeping the Tigers hitless through seven innings as Pacific fell to 0-1 on the year while the Bulldogs improved to 3-0.

Matador Softball Splits Second Day at Kajikawa Classic
The Cal State Northridge split its two games Friday at the Kajikawa Classic. In dramatic fashion, Northridge took a 3-2 decision over Purdue. In the second game of the day, the Matadors and No. 1 Washington took turns mashing home runs before the Huskies pulled away with a 10-5 victory.

Axelson Powers Aggies To Day Two Split
Sarah Axelson went 7-for-8 to help lead the UC Davis softball team to a split of its two games Saturday at the Sportco Kick-Off Classic in Las Vegas. The Aggies suffered a 7-2 loss to host UNLV before rallying for an 8-7 victory over Cal State Bakersfield. Axelson went 5-for-5 against CSUB and drove in three runs in the win.
