IRVINE, CA – The Big West Conference is proud to announce the launch of the third annual Big West Basketball ShootOut.
The Basketball ShootOut is an annual campus tour that features a basketball shooting competition for students who attend Big West Conference member institutions. The Co-Ed division champions at each institution will compete against each other for the overall ShootOut crown and $5,000 at the 2010 Big West Basketball Tournament. Last year, over 660 teams competed over the nine Big West campuses, a 72% increase over the previous year’s turnout.
The ShootOut competition is open to all individuals who have a valid student I.D. A team participating in the ShootOut may register at any time up to the start of each division’s competition. Each participant will receive a Big West ShootOut t-shirt. Students can register through the Big West Conference website, at an institution’s marketing table at basketball games, at an intramural or recreation center check-in desk or on campus at the Big West Tour tent.
