In its 2009 home opener, the Cal State Northridge women's soccer team (2-1) posted a 3-0 shutout over LMU (1-1) Thursday afternoon at Matador Soccer Field. The Matadors tallied three second half goals to surge past the Lions, as Sonia Espitia, Farryn Townley and Niki Connolly all found the back of the net.
