Saturday, June 13, 2009: BASEBALL

The Cal State Fullerton Titans opened the College World Series in disappointing fashion, falling in their opening game 10-6 to Arkansas.  The loss drops the Titans into the loser's bracket, where they will face elimination every game in order to advance to the championship series.  However, Cal State Fullerton has come from the loser's bracket to win three of their four national titles.  Hear what coach Dave Serrano, senior 1B Jared Clark, and freshman RHP Noe Ramirez had to say about the game in their post-game press conference, courtesy of the NCAA.

The Titans next face either LSU or Virginia in an elimination game on Monday, June 15 at 11:00 a.m. PT.  The game will be televised on ESPN2/ESPN2 HD.

Friday, June 12, 2009: BASEBALL

In advance of Saturday's start to the College World Series, the NCAA held the annual coaches press conference on Friday, June 12.  All eight coaches of the participating teams were on hand to give their thoughts on the 2009 CWS and answer questions about their squads in advance of Saturday's first pitches.  The entire press conference is archived on the NCAA's All-Access video site (similar to BigWest.TV) and is free to view.

Wednesday, June 10, 2009: BASEBALL

The Cal State Fullerton Titans are headed to Omaha, Nebraska for their 16th appearance in the College World Series.  As the No. 2 national seed, Cal State Fullerton will be a favorite to win it all, as they look for their first NCAA title since 2004.  But before they take the field, hear what the Titans had to say about this year’s trip to college baseball’s hallowed land.  Head coach Dave Serrano is joined by players Jared Clark, Dustin Garneau, Daniel Renken, and Noe Ramirez in a series of interviews, now available on BigWest.TV.

The Titans will open the College World Series on Saturday, June 13 when they face Arkansas at 11:00 a.m. PT.  The game will be available on ESPN and ESPN HD.
