Offense Powers Titans to Win in Regional Opener

Cal State Fullerton senior Jared Clark finished with four hits and three runs driven in and the Titans' offense set a season high with 24 hits on the night as No. 2-national seeded Fullerton cruised to a 18-2 victory over Utah on Friday night in the second game of the 2009 NCAA Baseball Regionals at Goodwin Field in front of 2,441 fans.

Mustangs Fall in First NCAA Division I Regional Game, 13-3

Jerry Sullivan scattered 11 hits over seven innings and struck out nine while Oral Roberts’ offense produced 18 hits as the Golden Eagles defeated Cal Poly 13-3 in the opening game of the Tempe Regional on Friday afternoon at Arizona State’s Packard Stadium. Sullivan, a junior right-hander who entered the game with a 3.07 ERA, improved to 8-3 on the year with a hard slider that fooled numerous Mustang hitters.
