Baseball is in its final month of play on BigWest.TV. Don't miss any of the action!

It’s all baseball on BigWest.TV this week, with a total of eleven contests airing.  National No. 1 UC Irvine continues to lead the Big West Conference standings with a 14-1 record against the rest of the league.  No. 6 Cal State Fullerton is hot on their heels at 12-6 on the season, and No. 13 Cal Poly is tied with Long Beach State for third in the conference at 10-5.

Baseball

***UPDATED Friday, May 8***  Due to the shift of the Long Beach State-UC Santa Barbara series, the host institution, UCSB, will not be able to broadcast the games on BigWest.TV.  Thank you for your understanding in this matter. 

No. 6 Cal State Fullerton will host Arizona for a two-game set beginning on Tuesday, May 5.  The Titans swept UC Santa Barbara (6-9, 7th) last weekend, including a 9th-inning rally on Saturday.  First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. PT.  Game 2 of the series is set for Wednesday, May 5 at the same time.

Three conference series will begin on Friday, May 8: UC Santa Barbara will host Long Beach State at 2:00 p.m., Pacific (8-10, 6th) welcomes No. 1 UC Irvine at 5:35 p.m., and No. 13 Cal Poly takes on No. 6 Cal State Fullerton at 6:00 p.m.  The Dirtbags swept UC Davis (1-14, 9th) last weekend to move into a tie for 3rd.  Pacific fell in their final two games at UC Riverside (7-8, 5th) while the ‘Eaters took three from Cal State Northridge (4-14, 8th).  Cal Poly defeated USF twice last weekend in a non-conference series.

Game 2 each series will take place on Saturday, May 9, with the Gauchos and the Dirtbags the first to hit the field at 1:00 p.m.  The Tigers and Anteaters will get underway at 5:35 p.m., and the Mustangs and Titans are scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m.  The concluding games of the weekend will all take place on Sunday, May 10 at 1:00 p.m.
