Stay up-to-date with the happenings in San Luis Obispo with the Cal Poly weekly press conferences.  This week, get the latest on the Mustang softball and baseball teams.

Cal Poly softball enters the week on the heels of a series sweep last weekend over UC Santa Barbara.  Coach Jenny Condon’s squad has the best overall record in the Big West at 25-9 and is currently second in the conference standings with a 4-2 record.  Hear what Coach Condon and senior 2B Stephanie Tam have to say about their season so far and the week ahead.  The Mustangs will host league-leading Long Beach State on Friday, April 10 and Saturday, April 11 for a crucial three-game set.  The entire series will be available on BigWest.TV, beginning with Friday’s doubleheader at 12 noon PT.

The Cal Poly baseball team also holds the Big West’s best overall record.  Coach Larry Lee’s team is 21-7 overall, but tied for fourth in the conference at 3-3.  The Mustangs swept Cal State Northridge last weekend in a hard-fought series that saw the first two games go to extra innings.  Coach Lee and senior OF Ryan Lee discuss their long weekend while looking forward to this week’s contests.  Cal Poly will host Saint Mary’s on Tuesday, April 7 (6:00 p.m.) before hitting the road for a three-game set against the Pacific Tigers beginning on Thursday, April 9.  All four games will be available on BigWest.TV.
