Aggies Sweep Pacific In Big West Doubleheader

The UC Davis softball team swept a Big West Conference doubleheader with Pacific (15-21, 0-5 Big West) Saturday afternoon at La Rue Field. The Aggies scored a run in the first inning of game one that held up in a 1-0 victory. UC Davis (18-16, 3-2 Big West) trailed game two by the same score until scoring seven runs late in the game for a 7-1 win. Jessica Hancock had a four-hit shutout, and Kelly Harman had two doubles and three RBIs on the day.

Cal Poly Sweeps Doubleheader from UC Santa Barbara

The Cal Poly softball team posted an eight-run first inning during the opening game and junior lefthander Helen PeÐa tossed a complete-game six-hitter in the nightcap as the Mustangs furthered their program-record home winning streak at Bob Janssen Field to 14-consecutive games by sweeping a Saturday doubleheader from UC Santa Barbara, 12-5 and 6-0.

Adgar's Ninth-Inning, Bases Loaded Walk-Off Walk Earns Split With Titans

Highlanders pitchers Amy Lwin and Stephanie Marshall combined to pitch nine innings of eight-hit softball, allowing just one run on the afternoon, and Tricia Adgar's bases-loaded walk with two outs in the ninth gave UC Riverside a 2-1 win and a split of their Saturday double header with No. 32 Cal State Fullerton.
