What was a one-run pitching duel through three innings turned into a UC Davis rout as the Aggies defeated Cal State Bakersfield, 9-0, Monday in a non-conference softball game at the Roadrunner Softball Complex. UC Davis scored three runs in the fourth and five more times in the fifth, which turned out to be the final inning. It was the fifth win in the last six games for UC Davis, which improved to 15-12 overall. CSUB fell to 16-14.

A bases-loaded single from Stanford second baseman Maddy Coon during the bottom of the 10th inning Monday afternoon accounted for the decisive run as the Cal Poly softball team saw a 13-game winning streak snapped by the fourth-ranked Cardinal at Jill and Boyd Smith Family Stadium.
