UC Davis Rallies Past Santa Clara

UC Davis scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to come from behind and defeat Santa Clara, 4-1, Wednesday afternoon at La Rue Field. Alex Holmes drove in the go-ahead run with a two-run single, and Jessica Hancock improved to 5-1 with a complete-game victory. The win improves UC Davis to 8-3 on the year while Santa Clara fell to 1-5.

UCLA Comes from Behind to Beat Titans, 6-2

Dani Yudin and Kaila Shull each drove in three runs Wednesday evening to power UCLA to a 6-2 non-conference softball victory at Cal State Fullerton. Donna Kerr and Megan Langenfeld combined on a 2-hitter with 13 strikeouts as UCLA improved to 14-2 with its ninth victory in a row. Fullerton got a 2-run home run from Francesca Gonzales but fell to 5-7 with its third successive loss.
