126 Teams Compete in Big West ShootOut at UC Davis

The fourth leg of the 2009 Big West Basketball ShootOut sponsored by U.S. Bank and Jack In The Box occurred Tuesday night at UC Davis.  126 teams registered to compete to be the campus champions, coming close to doubling the number of teams from last year.  The Big West ShootOut continues to bury last year’s inaugural numbers, increasing participation by 82% on this leg of the tour.  The co-ed finals will be held on Thursday night, February 12, at halftime of the men’s basketball game versus UC Irvine.  Team Chain Reaction with Lynley Takaki and Kenny Bains will take on Team Hot Tamales with Sara Magallon and Ranell Gonzales.
