The third leg of the 2009 Big West Basketball ShootOut sponsored by U.S. Bank and Jack In The Box occurred tonight at Long Beach State. 90 teams registered to compete to be the campus champions on Wednesday night, more than doubling the number of teams from last year. The Big West ShootOut continues to bury last year’s inaugural numbers, increasing participation by 95% to this point of the tour. The co-ed finals will be held on Thursday night, February 5, at halftime of the men’s basketball game versus UC Davis. Team Rain Makers with Ryan Herald and Reika Shucart will take on Team Mamba with Clarissa Diaz and Alfonso Reyes. Shucart was the Long Beach State campus champion from last year.
