UC Irvine was the big winner of this week's swimming and diving weekly honors as Randall Tom and Melanie Grosvenor took home the Men's and Women's Athlete of the Week awards, respectively.

Tom, a native of Wailuku, Hawai’i, put forth a stellar effort in the pool in the Anteaters' tri-meet last weekend. The senior won both the 100 fly (48.24) and 200 fly (1:49.69), while swimming the 200 medley relay leadoff (23.07) and 200 free relay anchor (19.91) legs of winning relay teams.

Grosvenor, who hails from Mission Viejo, Calif., won both the one-meter (287.15) and three-meter (272.35) diving competitions with NCAA Zone 'E' Diving Regional qualifying marks. Her marks placed her third in the one-meter and fourth in the three-meter in school history.
