Oliver Leads UC Davis To Conference Road Sweep

UC Davis senior Vince Oliver (Inglewood, CA/Loyola HS) earned Big West Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors after producing the top two scoring performances by an Aggie this season in a pair of conference road wins against Cal State Fullerton and UC Irvine.  
   
The 6-3 guard scored 27 points versus the Titans and added 24 points against the Anteaters to propel UC Davis to back-to-back road wins for the first time in five years.  He led the Aggies in scoring in both games.
   
Oliver made 11 of 16 shots en route to his team-high and season-high total versus CSF.  He also contributed five rebounds, four assists and two steals in the 85-74 triumph.
   
Against UCI, Oliver knocked down 8 of 12 field goals and connected on all eight attempts at the free throw line in the 88-85 victory.  He also grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds to secure his first career double-double.
   
For the week, Oliver hit 67.9% (19 of 28) from the field and 80.0% (12 of 15) from the free throw line while averaging 25.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.
   
This is the first Player of the Week honor for an Aggie since UC Davis joined the Big West in 2007-08.
