Five teams will suit up for competition in the final weekend before the Thanksgiving holiday as Cal State Northridge, UC Irvine and Pacific head to Long Beach for the Nike Cup, while Cal Poly and UC Santa Barbara renew their Central Coast rivalry in a dual meet in Santa Barbara.

The Anteaters will serve as the host institution for the Nike Cup, a competition that will have a total of 22 women’s teams and 15 men’s in action over three days at Belmont Plaza Olympic Pool in Long Beach, Calif. The DI women’s field is comprised of UC Irvine, BYU, Air Force, Loyola Marymount, Nevada, New Mexico, Cal State Northridge, Pepperdine, Pacific, San Jose State, San Diego, Cal State Bakersfield and UNLV. On the men’s side, UC Irvine, Air Force, BYU, UNLV, Cal State Northridge, Cal State Bakersfield and Pacific. The Pacific women’s team had a strong meet at the competition a year ago with a third place finish among the impressive field.

Cal Poly and UC Santa Barbara will kick off their dual at 11 am at Campus Pool on the UCSB campus. A year ago in a tri-meet involving UC San Diego, The Gauchos ran away with a victory on both sides against the Mustangs. The UCSB men's contingent won by a count of 157-99, while the women's team completed the sweep with a 161-98 win.

Last week, the conference had a light schedule as UC Santa Barbara was the lone school in action.

The Gauchos gave their home fans plenty to cheer about as they swept UC San Diego in a dual meet in dominating fashion. The UCSB women defeated the Tritons by a 157-104 final, capturing 11 first place finishes. The men were even better with a 177.5-74.5 win, claiming first place in all 14 events during the meet.
