After having several teams in competition a week ago, the Big West swimming & diving schedule is a light docket this weekend as just one school will be in action.

UC Santa Barbara has the spotlight all to itself as the Gauchos will compete in their home pool against the Tritons of UC San Diego. The meet will feature both the UCSB men’s and women’s squads following a week in which only the women were in competition.

Last week in the conference, UC Irvine hosted a litany of clubs in the UCI Shootout at Anteater Complex. UC Davis was the most successful club among all the Big West schools as both the Aggie men's and women's teams won two of their four matchups. UCD also traveled to UC San Diego for a dual meet the day after the UCI Shootout. The Aggies swept the meet from the Tritons thanks to a 149-92 margin on the men’s side and a 135-107 victory on the women’s end.

The UCSB women's squad went to Los Angeles a week ago to compete against two Pac-10 programs in Oregon State and UCLA. UCSB topped the Beavers by a 158-87 score, but fell to the Bruins by a 161-84 final.

Pacific also competed in dual meet on the road a week ago as it traveled to Denver to take on the Denver Pioneers. The Tigers competed well against Denver, but ultimately fell by a 105-89 score on the men’s side and a 106-90 tally on the women’s end.
