On Thursday night, in a semifinal game of the Big West Women's Soccer Tournament, UC Santa Barbara and Cal Poly went to a shootout after playing to a 1-1 tie through regulation and a pair of overtimes. Each team made its first four penalty kicks, but after the Mustangs missed their fifth attempt, the Gauchos made theirs, winning 5-4 and advancing to Sunday's Big West Championship game at Long Beach State.

49ers One Win Away From NCAA Tournament
The Long Beach State women's soccer team advanced to the Big West Tournament championship game with a 3-0 victory over Pacific on Thursday afternoon at George Allen Field. The 49ers improved to 14-4-3 overall, while Pacific closed out their season with a 10-8-1 mark.
