A late-match substitution proved to be the deciding factor as UC Irvine women’s soccer edged visiting
Northern Arizona , 1-0 on Friday afternoon, August 29. Junior transfer Amanda Phillips entered the game with just under ten minutes to go and scored the game-winning goal on a breakaway pass from Stevie Mersola at 86:45.
