The UC Davis women's golf team concluded the second round of the 2008 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championships Thursday morning in a tie for 21st place.  High winds prevented half of the teams from finishing their rounds on Wednesday, as the weather wreaked havoc on scores throughout the 24-team field.

The Aggies posted a second round 319 after Wednesday's opening round of 298 on the 6,424-yard University of New Mexico Championship Course.  UC Davis is tied with Texas at 41-over 617 going into today's third round.

No team shot an under-par as play was delayed three times during the second round.  Southern California and UCLA are tied for the lead with 36-hole totals of 8-over 584.

Aggie freshman Alice Kim carded a 74 and sits in a tie for 15th place at 3-over 147 for the tournament.  Freshman Chelsea Stelzmiller is tied for 80th place at 11-over 155, junior Bryana Gregory is at 13-over 157 for 94th place, and senior Sydney Roughton posted a 77 and 83 for a two-round total of 16-over 160.  Freshman Katie Sisler sits in 118th place at 20-over 164.

Due to the second round delays, golfers will tee off on all 18 holes in groups of four for round three, which begins at noon (PDT).  The Aggies begin play from holes 15, 16 and 17.
