A packed week is ahead, with a total of 36 events in four different sports airing on BigWest.TV, beginning with baseball on Tuesday, February 26 when Cal State Fullerton hosts Loyola Marymount (6:00 p.m. PST) and Long Beach State hosts San Diego (6:30 p.m.). Fifteen more baseball games will be available during the week, including UC Riverside taking on Nebraska in
Lincoln in a four-game series beginning on Friday, February 29 at 11:30 a.m. The Cornhuskers will provide live coverage to BigWest.TV of every game of the series.
Cal State Fullerton softball also returns to BigWest.TV this week, when the Titans take on
St. John's on Wednesday, February 27 at 6:00 p.m. The Titans were the first team to broadcast this season and will play a total of five games this week on BigWest.TV.
As a special for fans, baseball and softball this week will air free of charge, though a no-cost registration with CSTV is required.
Men’s and women’s basketball enter their last two weeks of conference play before the Big West Basketball Tournament (March 12-15, 2008 on BigWest.TV). In women’s basketball, Cal Poly will travel to
Riverside to face the Highlanders on Wednesday, February 27 at 7:00 p.m. Other notable games this week include
Long Beach
State at UC Irvine on Thursday, February 28 at 5:00 p.m., which is the first game of a double-header with the men’s programs from The Beach and UC Irvine, and a Saturday, March 1 showdown between league-leading UC Santa Barbara, who just lost their first conference game to UC Davis, and UC Riverside, the team currently in second place in the Big West Conference.
Men’s hoops action begins on Thursday, February 28 with a first-place showdown between the Cal State Northridge Matadors and the Titans of Cal State Fullerton. The Matadors are currently a half-game in front of the Titans for first place in the Big West Conference. UC Irvine and
Long Beach
State will also tip at The Bren Events Center on Thursday night at 7:30 p.m., in the second game of a Black and Blue Series double-header with the Anteater and 49er women’s hoops teams. Four more men’s hoops games are set to air on Saturday, March 1 as well.
