It’s championship time once again, and the 2008 Big West Swimming & Diving Championships will broadcast LIVE from Belmont Plaza Pool in
Long Beach. For the second year in a row, BigWest.TV will air the evening portions of the championship, beginning Wednesday, February 20 and running daily through Saturday, February 23. Each session will begin at 6:00 p.m. PST. As a special for fans, the first night of the Championships will air free of charge, though a no-cost registration with CSTV is required. The remaining three days available on a pay-per-view basis. Cost for the three-day package will be $7.95, but the event is also part of the standard BigWest.TV package, so current subscribers will be able to watch at no additional charge. In addition to the Swimming & Diving Championships, Big West baseball joins the BigWest.TV line-up this week. College baseball season officially begins Friday, February 22, and BigWest.TV will carry select home games from around the conference. In addition, the debut weekend for each team during the 2008 season will be available free of charge as well (registration required). This week, watch as Cal State Northridge hosts Northwestern in a three-game series from Friday through Sunday. The each game of the series is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Also see Long Beach State when they host Rice beginning Friday, February 22 at 6:30 p.m., with games on Saturday (2:00 p.m.) and Sunday (1:00 p.m.) as well.
Amidst the debut of baseball and the finale of the Big West swimming & diving season, men’s and women’s basketball continues this week. In men’s basketball, O’Reilly ESPNU BracketBusters week is here, with four Big West men’s teams hosting BracketBuster match-ups on Saturday, February 23. UC Riverside will host Hawaii (5:00 p.m.), Pacific will take on
San Jose
State (7:00 p.m.), UC Irvine will face former conference foe Idaho (7:05 p.m.), and Cal State Fullerton tips off against
Portland
State (7:30 p.m.) in the second game of a double-header with the Titan women. But before the cross-conference contests begin, catch four men’s basketball games on Wednesday, February 20, including UC Santa Barbara’s quest for their 20th win this season when they travel to Pacific.
Women’s basketball action begins on Wednesday, February 20 when UC Irvine hosts UC Riverside at 7:00 p.m. Three more games are on the schedule Thursday, February 21, including league-leading UC Santa Barbara hosting Pacific, UC Davis traveling to Cal Poly, and cross-town rivals

State and Cal State Fullerton facing off in
Long Beach , with all games scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Saturday, February 23 will bring another afternoon of women’s hoops, beginning at 2:00 p.m. with
Long Beach
State at Cal State Northridge and UC Davis at UC Santa Barbara. At 4:00 p.m., Cal Poly hosts Pacific, and the final game of the afternoon sees Cal State Fullerton hosting UC Riverside at 5:00 p.m. in the first game of a double-header with the Titan men.
