It’s still winter, but spring sports will be heating up this week, as softball joins the BigWest.TV lineup! In addition to men’s and women’s basketball, select home softball games will air throughout the season as part of the standard BigWest.TV package. This week, a total of eighteen men’s and women’s basketball and softball games will broadcast from across the Big West Conference.
The first team to debut in softball will be the Cal State Fullerton Titans, when they take on
Santa Clara on Friday, February 8 at 6:00 p.m. PST. In addition to Friday’s game, catch the Titans on Saturday, February 9 at 12:30 p.m. when they host Nevada and again on Sunday, February 10 when
Santa Clara returns to Anderson Family Field.
In men’s and women’s basketball, it’s eight games down, and eight games to go. The second half of the conference season begins this week, with a total of fifteen men’s and women’s contests on the schedule. Men’s hoops on Thursday, February 7 includes league-leading Cal State Northridge traveling to
Stockton to take on the Pacific Tigers, pre-season No. 1 UC Santa Barbara hosting the second-place Cal State Fullerton Titans, Cal Poly welcoming UC Irvine, and UC Davis taking on Long Beach State. The men’s schedule on Saturday, February 9 includes Cal State Fullerton at Cal Poly,
Long Beach
State at Pacific, and Cal State Northridge at UC Davis. All games are set to tip at 7:00 p.m.
Women’s hoops action also begins on Thursday, February 7 when UC Santa Barbara, undefeated in league play, travels to
Fullerton to take on the Titans, who are riding a five-game win streak. Pacific will travel to Northridge, UC Davis will take on The Beach, and UC Irvine will host Cal Poly, with all Thursday games scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m. On Saturday, February 9, the action begins at 2:00 p.m. when UC Santa Barbara and UC Irvine tip off at the
Bren
Center . That game will be followed by both Cal Poly-Cal State Fullerton and
Pacific-Long
Beach
State at 5:00 p.m. and UC Davis and Cal State Northridge tipping at 7:00 p.m.
***NOTE: The UC Irvine-UC Santa Barbara men’s basketball game on Saturday, February 9 will be shown live on Fox Sports Net Prime Ticket at 7:00 p.m. PST and will not be broadcast on BigWest.TV.***
