Led by seniors Patrick Sanders and Darren Fells, the UC Irvine Anteaters erased a nine-point deficit late in the first half and rallied to beat the UC Riverside Highlanders 67-53 and move their conference record to 3-3. Sanders had game-highs of 21 points and 7 rebounds, while Fells racked up 16 points, including 10-11 shooting at the free-throw line. The Highlanders were paced by senior Larry Cunningham’s 12 points and freshman Jalonni Diggs with 11.

The Anteaters next travel to Northridge to take on the league-leading Matadors on Thursday, January 31, while the Highlanders host UC Santa Barbara at home on Wednesday, January 30. Both games will be broadcast on BigWest.TV, while the UC Riverside-UC Santa Barbara game is also available in the
