Cal Poly Weekly Press Conferences on BigWest.TV

Stay up to date on the news from San Luis Obispo with Cal Poly’s weekly press conferences featuring Mustang head coaches and players.  See what men’s basketball head coach Kevin Bromley has to say about his team heading into the second week of conference play.  The Mustang men split the first two games of league play last week, losing to Cal State Northridge, but defeating Long Beach State .  This week, they are on the road at Cal State Fullerton (Thursday, Jan. 10) and UC Irvine (Saturday, Jan. 12).

The Mustang women’s basketball team is one of four Big West teams undefeated in conference play, having beaten Cal State Northridge and Long Beach State on the road last week.  The women play two at home this week, facing Cal State Fullerton (Thursday, Jan. 10) and UC Irvine (Saturday, Jan. 12).  Hear head coach Faith Mimnaugh discuss her team’s fast start to league play and their upcoming schedule.

While men’s and women’s basketball are in full swing, women’s tennis gets underway this Saturday, January 12 when the Mustangs face Santa Clara and UC Santa Cruz.  Head coach Hugh Bream and sophomore Brittany Blalock make their first appearances on BigWest.TV this week.  Bream is back in his eighth season with the Mustangs, having lead the team to a second-place finish in the Big West Conference in 2007.  Blalock was the 2007 Big West Freshman of the Year and is currently ranked No. 15 in the Fila Northwest Regional rankings.
