Following a variety of multi-team events over the holiday, the Big West Conference has a lighter load this week with only three schools competing in a handful of dual meets.

Coming off first (men) and second (women) place victories at the UNLV Winter Invite, the Gauchos of UC Santa Barbara return home to host USC at Campus Pool. The dual meet between the Gauchos and Trojans is slated for Saturday, Jan. 12 at 1:00 p.m. The UCSB's men's team is 3-1 in dual meets, while the women's team owns a 4-2 mark.

The UC Davis men's swim team returns to action for the first time in almost two months with dual meets at Washington and Seattle. The Aggies, who defeated Santa Cruz in their only dual this season, face the Huskies at Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. before traveling up to Seattle on Sunday for a dual with the Redhawks at noon inside the Connolly Center. This will mark the third consecutive Aggie competition that will take place in the state of Washington.

Like UC Davis, Cal State Northridge is also competing with a split squad as the women's team hosts the Pepperdine Waves at Matador Pool. Saturday's matinee marks the first dual meet of the 2007-08 season for both the Matadors and the Waves.
