Get ready for the busiest week this season on BigWest.TV, as a total of 23 events in five different sports will broadcast from almost every corner of the Big West Conference. Events include the Big West Women’s Soccer Tournament LIVE from Cal State Fullerton, the start of the 2007-2008 men’s and women’s basketball seasons, a men’s soccer match featuring the 2006 NCAA National Champion, and the second-to-last week of women’s volleyball conference action.
The 2007 Big West Women’s Soccer Tournament will be broadcast LIVE on BigWest.TV for the first time beginning Friday, November 9. The first semifinal match featuring the No. 3-seeded Cal Poly Mustangs and the No. 2-seeded
Long Beach
State 49ers will air at 5:00 p.m. PST. The second semifinal match between the surprising No. 4-seeded UC Irvine Anteaters and No. 1 seed Cal State Fullerton Titans will air at 7:30 p.m. The championship game will air on Sunday, November 11 at 1:00 p.m. The entire tournament is available to regular BigWest.TV subscribers, as well as on a pay-per-view basis. Men’s and women’s basketball make their 2007-2008 season debuts on BigWest.TV, with six men’s and four women’s games on the schedule. The first tip-off is scheduled for Friday, November 9 at 5:30 p.m., with a double-header from UC Irvine as the Anteater women face
New Mexico
State in the first game and the Anteater men opening up with Loyola Marymount. Both games are scheduled in UC Irvine’s Crawford Hall, the original gym used by the Anteaters prior to the construction of the
Bren
Events
Center in 1987. Other teams on BigWest.TV this week include the Cal State Fullerton men, the Cal State Northridge men, defending men’s champion Long Beach State, both UC Davis squads, and the UC Santa Barbara women.
Take advantage of the only BigWest.TV appearance of the 2006 NCAA Men’s Soccer National Champion UC Santa Barbara Gauchos when they travel to
Fullerton to face the Titans on Saturday, November 10. The match will be available to both BigWest.TV subscribers as well as on a pay-per-view basis. Cal State Fullerton is the first Big West institution to stream men’s and women’s soccer, with each match available as part of the regular BigWest.TV package or as a PPV event. Match time on Saturday is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
Women’s volleyball enters its final two weeks beginning on Wednesday, November 7 with a regional showdown between UC Irvine and Cal State Fullerton and continuing throughout the weekend. A total of nine women’s volleyball matches are on tap this week as teams jockey for their final positioning in the Big West standings. All matches are scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
