The upstart Anteaters brought the house against UCLA in the third-place game falling, 10-9, Sunday afternoon at the Aztec Aquaplex. The Eaters finished in fourth place and scored great efforts all around including a five-goal game for junior Jessy Cardey.

The fourth-seeded Anteaters blitzed the top-seeded Cardinal early, but were unable to slow the Stanford attack falling 12-3 in the NCAA Semifinal match Saturday afternoon at the Aztec Aquaplex.

Big West regular season and tournament champion UC Irvine secured the No. 4 seed for the 2012 National Collegiate Women's Water Polo Championship, which will be held May 11-13 at the Aztec Aquaplex with San Diego State serving as host.
