Stockton, CA (Sports Network) - Sam Willard netted 15 points and grabbed 13
caroms, as the Pacific Tigers cruised past the Santa Clara Broncos, 84-57, as
part of the West Coast Classic.
Demetrece Young and Terrell Smith each tallied 16 points for the Tigers (3-0),
while Pat Eveland chipped in 13 points off the bench.
Kevin Foster led SCU (2-2) and all players with 22 points and five steals in
the losing effort.
The Broncos made just 33.3 percent of their attempts from the floor in the
first half, allowing the Tigers to take a 33-23 lead to the intermission.
In the second half, Pacific shot an unconscious 77.3 percent from the field,
as it pulled away for the 27-point win.
The Tigers went 12-of-19 from beyond the arc on the night, in addition to
holding a 40-28 advantage on the glass.
