Irvine, CA (Sports Network) - Joe Ford scored 12 points to lead the Pacific
Tigers to a 61-50 victory over the UC Irvine Anteaters in a Big West
Conference battle at the Bren Events Center.
Terrell Smith added 11 points for Pacific (13-6, 6-1 BWC), while Michael
Nunnally tallied 10 points in the win.
Darren Moore and Michael Hunter posted 11 points apiece for UCI (9-12, 3-6),
while Moore also grabbed seven rebounds in the loss.
Pacific shot 48.0 percent from the field in the first half and went into the
break with a 39-27 advantage.
In the second stanza the Tigers held UCI to a mere 35.7 percent shooting
effort and went on to win by an 11-point margin.
The Tigers dominated play in the paint, outscoring the Anteaters by a 30-16
margin.
