Stockton, CA (Sports Network) - Pat Eveland came off the bench and turned in
14 points to guide the Pacific Tigers over the UC Irvine Anteaters, 64-51, in
a Big West Conference battle at the Spanos Center in Stockton.
Eveland made 4-of-7 shots from long range and grabbed five caroms in the win
for the Tigers (10-6, 3-1 BWC). Sam Willard notched a double-double with 12
points and 11 rebounds, while Demetrece Young chipped in with 10 points.
Darren Moore tallied a contest-high 18 points for UCI (8-10, 2-4), while Adam
Folker checked in with 12 points and seven rebounds.
The Tigers shot a scorching 59.1 percent from the floor, including 6-of-11
from downtown in the first half, opening a 36-23 lead at the break.
In the second stanza, Pacific hit on 42.9 percent of its attempts from the
floor, as it locked up the 13-point win.
The Anteaters struggled from the field tonight, connecting just 33.3 percent
of their chances.
