Cal State Northridge 79, Portland State 63 Northridge, CA (Sports Network) - Chris Davis scored a game-high 20 points
while leading the Cal-State Northridge Matadors to a 79-63 victory over the
Portland State Vikings in non-league action.

Eto Onyenegecha added 14 points for Cal-State Northridge (3-4), while Joseph
Frazier tallied 13 points in the victory.

Will Funn netted a team-high 17 points for Portland State (4-6), while Sheu
Oduniyi chipped in 10 points off the bench. Blake Walker and Seamus Boxley
both contributed 13 points in the losing effort.

The Matadors used a 12-5 run early in the opening frame to take a narrow 37-34
advantage into the break.

Cal-State Northridge opened the second half with a 10-0 run, eventually going
on to win by a 16-point margin. The Matadors shot 62.5 percent from the field
in the second stanza, while holding Portland State to 47.6 percent shooting.

Cal-State Northridge shot 56 percent from the field in the contest, while the
Vikings connected on just 40.8 percent of their shots.
