UC Riverside 72, Cal State Northridge 71 Northridge, CA (Sports Network) - Vili Morton poured in a game-high 23 points
and blocked two shots in the final 10 seconds of overtime, lifting the UC-
Riverside Highlanders to a 72-71 victory over the Cal State-Northridge
Matadors in Big West Conference action from The Matadome.

Morton finished the game 8-of-10 from the floor with four blocks, as the
Highlanders (10-15, 7-10 BWC) clinched a spot in the upcoming Big West
Conference Tournament. Kevin Butler tallied 18 points, while Mark Peters
turned in 13 points and eight assists in the winning effort.

Thomas Shewmake paced the Matadors (11-14, 7-10) in defeat with 18 points and
12 rebounds. Davin White netted 14 points, while Eto Onyenegecha added 14
points and nine rebounds. Ian Boylan contributed 10 points and seven assists,
as CS-Northridge dropped its second straight game.

The Matadors used a 12-1 run late in the first half to take a narrow 27-26
lead into the break.

In the second stanza, CS-Northridge's Davin White nailed a three-pointer at
the buzzer, sending the game into overtime knotted at 63-63.

In the extra frame, the Highlanders took a point lead in the final seconds and
pair of rejections by Morton on Shewmake secured the win for UC-Riverside.
