Idaho 60, Cal State Northridge 56 Northridge, CA (Sports Network) - Tyrone Hayes poured in 21 points and led the
Idaho Vandals to a 60-56 victory over the Cal State-Northridge Matadors in Big
West Conference action from The Matadome.

Hayes was the only Vandal (10-13, 6-7 BWC) to register in double figures and
also had a team-high six rebounds.

Davin White paced the Matadors (9-12, 5-8) in defeat with 21 points, while Ian
Boylan and Thomas Shewmake each tallied 10 points. Shewmake also had a game-
high 13 rebounds, six of which came at the offensive end of the court.

The Matadors made 47.6 percent of their field goal attempts in the first half,
allowing them to take a 28-20 advantage into the break.

Idaho turned things around in the second stanza, as it made 15-of-17 free
throw attempts and captured the four-point victory.

The Vandals connected on just 35.4 percent of their shots from the floor and
only 2-of-14 three-point attempts, but they were able to knock in 24-of-33
shots taken from the charity stripe.
