Cal State Northridge 80, Cal Poly 71 Northridge, CA (Sports Network) - Eto Onyenegecha registered a double-double
with 23 points and 11 rebounds in helping to push the Matadors of Cal State-
Northridge to an 80-71 victory against the Cal Poly-SLO Mustangs in Big West
Conference play from the Matadome.

Ian Boylan tallied a game-high 27 points, collected eight boards, and handed
out four assists for the Matadors (7-9, 3-5 Big West) as well. Also scoring in
double figures for Northridge, which snapped a three-game slide with the win,
was Michael Scott who tallied 21 on 4-of-6 from behind the three-point line,
while also giving out a game-high seven assists.

The Mustangs (6-9, 1-6) were paced by Kameron Gray who put up 15 points,
grabbed six rebounds and dished out five assists in the losing effort. Both
Nick Enzweiler and Shane Schilling contributed 10 points in the team's fourth
straight setback.

Cal Poly shot a blistering 56 percent from the field, including 6-of-10 behind
the three-point line, in the first half to take a 42-38 lead at the break.

Northridge came out of the intermission and immediately used a 15-3 run to
surge ahead and cruise to the nine-point win.

The Matadors ruled the glass with a 45-23 edge on the boards, posting 22
rebounds at the offensive end of the floor alone.
