leading the Utah State Aggies to a 74-67 victory over the UC-Santa Barbara
Gauchos in Big West Conference action from the Thunderdome.

Butler ended the contest 7-of-14 from the floor, as Utah State (10-1, 2-0 BWC)
won its seventh straight game. Spencer Nelson added 15 points and six
rebounds, while Jason Williams chipped in 10 points in the winning cause.

Casey Cook paced the Gauchos (7-5, 1-2) in defeat with a game-high 19 points
on 7-of-12 shooting from the field. Joe See netted 15 points, while Cameron
Goettsche added 10 points and four rebounds off the bench.

UC-Santa Barbara shot a scorching 63.6 percent from the floor in the first
half, taking a 36-35 lead into the break.

In the second stanza, the Aggies made 62.5 percent of their shots from the
field, as they came from behind for the seven-point victory.

Utah State shot 55.6 percent from the floor, including a 7-of-16 effort from
behind the arc, while the Gauchos made 52.0 percent of their shots and 8-of-16
three-point attempts.
