UC Riverside 63, UC Santa Barbara 60 Riverside, CA (Sports Network) - Vili Morton had a game-high 19 points in
leading the UC-Riverside Highlanders to a 63-60 victory over the UC-Santa
Barbara Gauchos in a Big West Conference tilt from the Student Rec. Center.

Nate Carter finished with 15 points and nine boards for the Highlanders (9-15,
6-10 BWC), while Mark Peters added 12 points and four assists.

Cecil Brown paced the Gauchos (14-11, 8-8) in defeat with 15 points. Casey
Cook had 14 points in a reserve role, while Jacoby Atako added 12 points and
Branduinn Fullove contributed with 11 points in the losing effort.

The Highlanders made 33.3 percent of their three-point attempts in the first
half and held a 33-28 advantage at the break.

UC-Riversde missed all four of its long range shots in the second stanza, but
was able to convert 12-of-20 from the foul line and held on for the three-
point win.

The Gauchos had 17 turnovers and made only 37.3 percent of their field goal
attempts, while also allowing UC-Riverside to shoot 46.7 percent from the
floor.
