Moscow, ID (Sports Network) - Tyrone Hayes poured in 20 points and grabbed
eight rebounds in leading the Idaho Vandals to a 57-52 victory over the
UC-Irvine Anteaters in Big West Conference action from the Cowan Spectrum.

Hayes finished the contest 8-of-12 from the field, as Idaho (6-12, 3-6 BWC)
snapped its two-game slide.

Adam Parada led the Anteaters (9-9, 4-5) with a double-double that consisted
of a game-high 26 points and 11 rebounds. Stanislav Zuzak added 13 points and
six boards, as UC-Irvine dropped its third straight game.

Despite shooting a dismal 27.0 percent from the floor in the first half, the
Vandals were able to open up a 26-19 lead at the break.

In the second stanza, Idaho converted 12-of-14 free-throw attempts, as it held
on for the five-point victory.

The Vandals forced UC-Irvine into 16 turnovers in the contest, while
committing just five miscues themselves.
